Hi, Great video. Im Mike in London England, please i need your advice. So unknowingly I've only gone and ordered a Dorman 741-736 window regulator which is for a USDM Civic's (Passenger side) so have just discovered that the regulators motor electrical plug is a 2 pin whereas on my UKDM Civic (Driver side) it's a 4 pin plug. So basically regulator and motor would fit as it's for the right side door, just theres 2 wires and a 2 pin plug instead of 4 wires and a 4 pin plug to connect to my UKDM wiring. Any ideas to work round this bro? Damn totally my fault I should've known plugs would be different being that RHD - UKDM and LHD- USDM, Totally my fault 🤦🏼🤣

Should work no prob. just make sure the fitment is correct. Although, depending on the damage done.. replacing the valves may save you some money its really not that difficult if ya don't mind learning something new. Good luck

Good info, Thanks. As for the vapor barrier. Do not use duct tape like the person did before this video was made. Get the back mastic or use HVAC foil tape. Clean surface to get rid of dust and as much of old mastic and tape as possible. I know the foil tape is not removable, but if ever need to get back in there I can cut along the tape line and just put new tape over the old tape. Also if plastic is rotten, torn up etc, consider fabricating a new one from heavy plastic. I think I got some at a big box hardware store. Use the old one as a template. I have done this on a few older cars, or where I found the plastic bad or was totally missing.

I have a 2006 4 runner and both head lights are leaking. I'm thinking about trying this. Maybe even use this method. And tape off after and try a flex seal spray. And on the light bulbs they make a grease type for light bulbs to protect bulbs packing on exterior. Cause new headlights are expensive.

Thanks, dude. Notes: watch out, our cars are old, the door panels are getting brittle. Lube up the rails with rubber conditioner. I used fader lube for the window regulator tracks. Tape or mild adhesive the plastic sheet back into place. Even if it is ripped.

Can I use these steps to close off the hole on the roof of my car after removing the stupid shark fin antenna? it's an xm/fm style antenna that they had to cut a small square to run wires. I want to paint the roof black afterwards. I really like the black roof on a silver car so i wanna do it but my car had a shark fin installed at the factory.

🤔A bondo hack to try, instead of using the file try a hacksaw blade! just after the bondo set up but don't let it get to hard , hold the blade at the two ends while bending it a little, pulling it towards u on the bondo using one flowing motion until level, it will cut it down fast & level also it stop's the bondo from clogging up the sand paper when u start sanding👍

Mike McCool Okay, I just subscribed. I'm waiting for your permanent uv coating video, lol. Suggestion: How about a video replacing the fuel filter on 1987 to 199x. The one under the passenger side rear wheel well. I owned an '87 with fuel to the carb problems. A mechanic gave me a quote that I couldn't pay, at the time, because the car had two fuel filters. One filter was on the engine, behind the grill, and radiator and the second was in the wheel well. I'm no mechanic but I did it myself at my exwife's job in the partking lot, because I didn't have money to tow it home, lol. I got it done and learned from the experience, to replace the number two filter, under the wheel well, first. If the car runs, leave the other one alone until it is necessary. You would be jacking the car up, the same as when changing the tire on that side. So I always had one of each of those filters in the trunk of the car. Geez, long doggone suggestion, ain't it?,lol

I got the haze off of my Corolla's lenses, using a spray bottle of lemon juice, baking soda, a nylon scrubbing and elbow grease. I didn't have a powered hand tool at the time. The citric acid, soda and rubbing did a good job. The appearance of the lenses were greatly improved. The light beams no longer looked diffused. They gave a sharper beam extending farther down the road at night. My results were good, but not quite the "new" look as the lenses in this videos. Now we are waiting eagerly for the followup video on a permanent uv coating. By the way, the lemon juice baking and soda works works well to remove hard water spots on car paint, clear coat, wheels and porous plastic wheel covers.
